How can we reap the benefits of AI while minimising or mitigating the risks? How can we ensure that those benefits are equitably distributed? How can we manage the inevitable disruptions that AI will cause to society, to the economy, to our political systems?

This research thrust will draw on diverse bodies of scholarship to address these and other questions that examine the actual and potential impact — positive and negative — of AI.
